Role Summary


Telmar is looking for a high-energy Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative is tasked with identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities.  To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from the first contact until you close the deal.  You will also ensure proper after-sales service. Your main responsibilities will be:


  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Developing sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers.
  • Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams
  • Create target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and present solutions to begin the sales cycle
  • Profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle
  • Set appointments for the Telmar sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep
  • Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars set meetings for conferences
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads
  • Support the sales teams on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Attend product training conferences and develop an understanding of our communication infrastructure
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting
  • Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

 

Professional Skills


  • Proven work experience as an Inside Sales Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: Salesforce, DiscoverOrg, LinkedIn, Tableau, OpsCon, Google Apps, Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed sales team
  • The capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value that can be provided by [redacted]
  • Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving production goals from assigned territory or set of accounts
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company
  • Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of teams without necessarily taking the lead

  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • High level of integrity and a strong commitment to building a successful company
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CRM applications preferred
