Role Summary:

The Regional Sales Director is a key role for Telmar. The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for new business development in mainland China.

Whilst having overall responsibility for the sales targets for your territory, you will use your industry contacts and knowledge, as well as your commercial and negotiating skills, to identify new sales opportunities for you and your team to deliver sales targets and support and develop the business through a phase of accelerated growth.

You will also work closely with the Client Success team in your territory, supporting them to deliver high renewal rates and to cross-sell additional products and services to our clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a solid understanding of SaaS sales processes, a great understanding of client success, be a strong problem solver and able to communicate effectively across teams and regions.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

In line with the company objectives, your main responsibilities and tasks will include the following:

  • Work with the team in your territory with regular 1:1 meetings 
  • Track and evaluate the business metrics in your territory and develop strategies to continuously improve these metrics 
  • Ensure all sales, client success and operational processes are followed in your territory including CRM processes
  • Complete all CRM entries for your clients in a timely manner and be responsible for your client contracts from start to finish
  • Ensure all finance-related processes are adhered to for forecasting revenue, capturing and reviewing actuals as well as any ad-hoc adjustments that may be required
  • Escalate any relevant issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure regulate meeting cadence with tier-1 clients and prospects
  • Work collaboratively with other internal teams (Technology, Product and Marketing) to share competitor and client insights to further develop Telmar products and services
  • Stay up to date with the latest best practices
  • Lead the Telmar business in your territory to achieve company objectives
  • Manage territory pipeline including assisting ensuring a timely renewal of all existing business where required
  • Represent Telmar at trade shows/expos etc. as required

Person Specification:

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience
  • 5+ years SaaS sales experience
  • Experience leading teams across sales and client success
  • AdTech or MarTech industry experience with experience of selling to media owners, advertising agencies and client direct
  • Regional experience in mainland China
  • Experience working with sales automation tools, e.g. SalesForce
  • Knowledge of big data analysis
  • Fluent English and Mandarin
